Revolution Haircare Curl Type 3 and 4 Range Review

Revolution beauty sent me their complete haircare range for type 3 and 4 natural hair to try out. Read on for my review.

Known for affordable on trend make up, Revolution has been shaking up the beauty industry with innovative award-winning launches since 2013 and they recently launched haircare products for kinky curly hair. I was surprised to learn that Revolution does haircare and wasn’t sure about the range initially but after seeing consumers with my hair type raving about the range I was keen to try it.

Revolution haircare range for curly type 3 and 4 hair is made with a blend of oils and butters notably Shea Butter, Mango Butter and Babassu Oil. It's sulphate and alcohol free. Plus, most items in the range (apart from the multi-use hair oil) are silicone free. Revolution haircare is also certified cruelty-free and vegan. The range is designed to protect, style, deeply nourish and hydrate natural curls.

Revolution Haircare Deeply Hydrate My Curls Nourishing Shampoo

This Nourishing Shampoo gently cleanses hair and leaves hair feeling soft with a tropical scent. I really like this shampoo, it lathers well and does a good job at removing build-up and doesn’t leave my hair feeling dry or stripped.

Revolution Haircare Deeply Condition My Curls Nourishing Conditioner

For me this is the star of the range! This Nourishing Conditioner is lightweight with great slip and makes detangling a breeze plus the scent like all the other products leaves me wanting a tropical holiday.

Revolution Haircare Deeply Restore My Curls Protein Restore Mask

An intensive moisturising deep conditioner, Revolution Haircare Deeply Restore My Curls Protein Restore Mask replenishes and nourish hair. It's made with Hydrolysed Wheat Protein which helps strengthen hair, Panthenol (provitamin B5), Shea and Mango Butter as well as Babassu oil and Vitamin E. This Mask is lovely and leaves my kinks feeling stronger. I leave it on for up to 20 mins. You can also use this as an overnight treatment.

Revolution Haircare Deeply Condition My Curls Co-Wash

A gentle cleansing, non-foaming Co-Wash for a mid-week wash day or if you choose not to use a shampoo. This beauty leaves my hair feeling clean, nourished and looking defined. I love the creamy consistency and lovely scent which is inline with all products in the Revolution Haircare range for kinky curly hair.

Revolution Haircare Deeply Define My Curls Leave In Styling Cream

This styling cream has a hybrid gel-creamy like texture and reminds me of Andre Walker Beautiful Kinks. It doesn’t flake and leaves my hair feeling light, airy and looking defined. This is best used on damp hair and good for twist outs. It does take awhile to dry and I'd recommend not being heavy handed with this product as a little goes a long way due to the rich consistency.

Revolution Haircare Control My Curls Jelly

I use Revolution Curl Jelly when my hair is in a puff to smooth the edges and side of my hair and for added shine and definition. It reminds me of Shea Moisture Curling Gel Soufflé. Made with Castor Oil, Mango, Babassu Oil and Coconut Oil.

Revolution Haircare Deeply Refresh My Curls Revitaliser Spray

A lovely refreshing hair spritz, I use Revolution Curl Revitaliser Spray to refresh and hydrate my fro in the mornings. You can also use this as the L in your LOC method.

Revolution Haircare Shine My Curls Multi-Use Oil

This super silky hair oil adds shine. It’s more of a serum than a hair oil and should be good for heat styling too as it contains silicone which help block heat and protect against styling damage and heat.

My thoughts on Revolution Haircare Curl 3 + 4 Range

I really like this range and that there is a product for all my natural hair needs. I am pleased with the quality of all the products and the sweet tropical scent is very uplifting! All the products in Revolution Haircare Curl 3 + 4 range are affordable too as most items are just £7. My favourites from the range are the Nourishing Shampoo, Protein Restore Mask, Jelly and Nourishing Conditioner.
