Giovanni Hair Care for Natural Hair Review

Giovanni Eco Chic Haircare kindly sent me their Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture Shampoo, Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner, Smoothing Castor Oil Conditioner, Biotin and Collagen Restoring Mask to try out and I’ve been using them for the past month on washdays for my natural 4c afro hair and my daughter’s type 3 curly hair. I've found myself reaching for Giovanni Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Leave-In over and over for my natural kinky hair and my daughter’s curly hair to keep her curls frizz-free and moisturised.

Giovanni Biotin and Collagen Restoring Mask for healthy-looking hair

This deep conditioning mask is made with Biotin, Collagen, Shea Butter, Hyaluronic Acid and Fruit extracts (watermelon, kiwi, blueberry, strawberry, acai) to help thicken and smooth hair. I hadn’t tried a topical hair product with collagen previously so was particularly excited to use this. I wasn’t disappointed with Giovanni Biotin and Collagen Hair Mask. This mask has a rich texture and melts into hair in as little as 3 to 5 minutes (I personally left this in a bit longer so my hair can soak up the goodness).

My Thoughts on Giovanni Hair Care

I first discovered Giovanni Hair Care via TreasureTress many years ago when they featured the Smooth as Silk Direct Leave-In and forgot how good the Leave-In Conditioner is. Smooth as Silk Direct Leave-In is lightweight so it feels like your hair can actually breathe, it doesn’t weigh hair down at all and is great for a blow-dry too. The Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture Shampoo is so luxurious and melts away any build-up with a rich lather.

The Giovanni Smoothing Castor Oil Conditioner is hydrating too, it had a whole load of slip and the Giovanni Biotin and Collagen Hair Mask is restoring, my postpartum hair needed this to help replenish my hair. With this combo, a balanced diet and daily supplements my edges are coming back to life…

I like all four products but the Giovanni Leave-In and Biotin and Collagen Mask are the real stars for me...
