Super Green Smoothie Bowl
Green Smoothie Recipe
One of my fave things to enjoy is a good smoothie or smoothie bowl. This green smoothie bowl is perfect to help refuel after a run. To make all you need is:
Two handfuls of Kale
Two small Bananas
1/2 cup frozen Blueberries
1/2 an Avocado
80g Mango
1 tsp of grounded Ginger
1 tbsp Nua Naturals Smoothie Booster Immune Booster powder (picked this up in TKMaxx as it contains all kinds of organic goodness – barleygrass, baobab, milled chia, spirulina, alfafa and tumeric)
Vita Coco Coconut Water
Super Green Smoothie Bowl
I used Vita Coco Coconut Water because it rehydrates more efficiently than water as it has the perfect ratio of electrolytes… basically nature’s sports drink to help you recover faster and avoid cramps and so on.
I blended all the ingredients in our Nutribullet – this nutrient extractor is basically life (you can use it to make smoothies, juices, soups etc)… We’ve had it for over three years, it’s still going strong but we probably need an upgrade soon…
Anyways, back to the smoothie bowl… the consistency was quite thick but next time I will try more frozen ingredients and maybe less coconut water to add to the thickness.
Lastly, I topped the bowl with desiccated coconut, frozen blueberries, banana and a little of the Nua Immune Booster powder. Mmm…
Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for my next post you can also see more smoothie posts on my Instagram!
