Celery Cucumber Smoothie
Did you know that celery helps lower blood pressure, gets rid of excess fluid (bloat) and can help with a hangover too? Celery also has anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants like vitamin C, manganese and phytonutrients which reduce inflammation in digestive tract and blood vessels.
You’ve probably seen the benefits of celery juice, the trend of having it first thing in the morning all over social media and lots of people linking it to curing various ailments. But juicing fruits and vegetables result in a concentrated source of sugar. So incorporating celery stalks in to a smoothie means you benefit from the fibre too and not just having the juice as the skin and some of the fibrous content won’t be removed.
