Very Berry Smoothie Bowl
Happy New Year! Hope you’ve had a great start to the year! Lets kick things off with this Very Berry Smoothie Bowl... Try it to help boost hydration and refuel after all the festivities…
Very Berry Smoothie Bowl Ingredients
½ cup frozen strawberries
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 small avocado
2 beets
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
330ml Vita coco coconut water
Method
Blend all ingredients until smooth in a high powered blended (as always I used my Nutribullet).
Pour the mixture into your favourite bowl.
Top with thinly cut fresh strawberries, banana, some frozen raspberries and desiccated coconut or any toppings you like.
Enjoy!

Serves one or two if you want to share… I shared this smoothie with Hubby.
Nutritional Benefits
This bowl is loaded with antioxidants (especially in berries) which help protect the body from disease.
Plus, Coconut Water is basically nature’s hangover cure as it’s packed with electrolytes. You can adjust the amount used depending on how creamy that you want the smoothie to be.
Also, avocado contains not only good fats but soluble fibre as well as potassium, vitamin B and iron. Beetroot too is loaded with potassium and it’s rich in fibre and vitamin C and A.
Lastly, I reached for some cinnamon and ginger for this blast as both can help soothe the digestive system and have inflammatory properties. Both have such a lovely comforting fragrance too! Mmm…
